Surely not.

Browsing Flight Radar, and saw this approaching Gatwick.

Nothing else doing at Gatwick. We haven't even heard an aircraft for days.

SHF callsign is normally an RAF Chinook helicopter (Special Helicopter Flight)

Sadly, no. The Beverly photo is part of an ebay advert. I see it often on FR24 (somehow they must know that we are aviation geeks and tailor their ad). If there was a photo of the aircraft operating SHF494, it would appear where the picture of blue sky incorporating an aircraft outline and a cross is placed.

I did however see this yesterday -

There seems to have been a big increase in military aircraft showing up on FR24 over the UK.

Yes, found 3 USAF refuellers going from Milldenhall down over Spain where they met up with some B52’s coming from the US. And we seem to have a regular weekly trip to Belize from Brize Norton. I didn’t think we had anything out there any more. The RAF Hercs had been up a few weeks ago at circa 1500 ft up the East Coast to the Moray Firth too. They seemed to be having a little play before heading back to Brize.

I should point out that my post was a tongue-in-cheek effort at humour.

I've actually been in a Beverley because they used to visit RAF Colerne when I was there. Dwarfed our Hastings.
