I was looking for something else on this website and came across this headline which might be of interest

"For each aircraft sold in flight simulation software, the profit will be used in favour of rebuilding the iconic aircraft that was destroyed"
I think they'll need to sell a fair few copies to achieve that, but there is/was a second partially complete airframe, so perhaps there's a chance.

Yes, think it’s due in April or may. I’m glad to see it preserved in the sim at least, and it should be a good model. Don’t think I’ll be buying it though.

I have seen the estimates of rebuilding the 225 range from $500m to $5B, its going to take a lot of $19 purchases to rebuild her.
She is not exactly my cup of tea but think I will end up purchasing a copy just to support the cause.
