Stull makes me laugh. My uncle used to build water powered rockets, then lauch them on his local green. Boy did those things go.

They tested this on a show in the US on the Discovery Channel called "MythBusters". They were unable to replicate the results using the same methods in the video. Being that the hosts are Special Effects and Visual Effects guys in Hollywood, they were probably correct when they surmised that they probably used a wire rig to get the results in the video.

Still looks cool though, but the result of trying it for real looks even cooler (broken bones, cracked skull, etc) on the crash-test dummy they used as a stand-in for the person.

Yeah, I had seen the same MythBusters episode showing it was not possible. You look at how the guy in the video is spinning around and its pretty clear that its not real.

I built a rocket on that principal when I was about ten from washing up liquid bottles, a valve for inflating footballs and a bicycle pump.

Instructions from John Noakes. A great program Blue Peter. :dance:
