Shorts SC7 paint request

Post by RAF_Quantum »

Hi Guys,

Now that we have two Skyvan/Skyliners on the VA fleet, it would be nice if we could have appropriate re-paints for Dan's SC7. Looking on Airliners.net I've found some suitable candidates. If anyone would like to do these or know if they've already been done that would be great. I'd happily get another two aircraft for the VA if someone made them all.

G-ASZJ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0177828/L/

G-AZYW http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0579341/L/

G-BAIT http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0579181/L/

G-AWYG http://myaviation.net/?pid=00094033

If someone were to do just two, G-ASZJ and G-AZYW are my favourites.

Rgds

Hi John

There is a problem with the txtures or so I'm told which makes it impossible to get logos on the fin and rudder.

THa Loganair pic is a lter livery.....originally it was in the multi stripe Britten Norman style livery to match the Islanders

I don't know if anyone who has tried to paint a Skyvan can give us a shout.

Garry,

I've taken a look at the Olympic colours Skyvan at:
http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=68008.

That has the Olympic loops on the fin, and the v_stab.bmp is not distorted. So it looks like it should be possible be possible.

Also this scheme

has this v_stab.bmp.

Over to you

I'll have a look

Someone was recently trying topaint one and he said the tail was all over the place,

But I've never looked as I am not likely to paint it anyway.

I'll check out that Olympic .

Has there been more than one version?

The version I have has the .mdl file dated 15 Oct 2004. I don't know where I got that from.

But that is the same as the "pink" Skyvan, so looks like just the one version.

Hi Ian

As I thought

I mentioned early on I belioeved it was a problem with something going from the fin onto the rudder.

This paint has the logo on the fin only and when you move it onto the rudder

I'll need to looke propely at the mave one to see what's what

I'll have a look at the new model anyway.

If Dano is about, maybe he can help us out?

I don't know what would be envolved in remapping the textures though
