After BKS was renamed Northeast some of the aircraft wore the new logo and tiltles on their basic British Air Services livery

Garry very nice I liked the transistion colours, I think they also had a Britannia in those colours, pretty sure it never got to the all yellow scheme which in my view was one of the nicest colour schemes the Trident ever wore, along with the flying jack colours of course

Tony - Garry

I can confirm there was at least one interim Britannia - It diverted into Luton one night when the whole of the North clagged in - it actually looked
quite twee - just cant remember the reg - do remember it sitting out on the Ponderosa with a bunch of BEA Vanguards though

The Britannias had been withdrawn one by one and then to everyones suprise NBK was overhauled had the new logos and titles applied and went back into sevice for a while.

When she was retired that was the end of Britannia 100's

I think the four Tridents went straight into yellow.least I don't recall seeing a pic of an intrim.

Hi Garry

I am 99% sure i have seen a Trident (possibly a 1E) in the red & white NE
livery. :dunno:

Sorry but it rings a bell.

Regards
Rick

Hi Rick

It would be a 1E

If you ever find a pic drop it along as it would be rare..it may well have been the case it's just I can't recall seeing one.

Both NE and Cambrian when the solid top was introduced progressively painted the fleet.

I don't think Cambrian had an interim like NE but of course BKS unlike Cambrian had changed the name. They did paint ASAP so it would be rare and I would think the Tridents would be a priority

It's only recently I found out that at least two BEA Viscount 808 wore the Flying Jack livery and the mixed Red Square/Flying Jack Vanguard was also a recent find.

So anythings possible.
