cyclone radial sounds (constellation, DC3 sort of thing)

Post by hinch »

just wondering if any of you could recommend some really 'beefy' sounds, many of those i've downloaded today are tuned default lark and just don't really cut it with my new headphones

Sadly .... most prop aircraft within FS do have their sound folders aliased to some either very poor or absolutely inappropriate default audio files.

The best DC3 sounds I've ever heard are those provided within the MAAM DC3 programme .... but designed to work best with their AIRCRAFT.CFG & AIR.FILE combination.

Similarly .... the very best CONSTELLATION sounds (for the 049 model at least) are those included within the FS DEZIGN CONSTELLATION package. I recently enhanced these further .... but unfortunately .... can't release the results without authorisation from the original programmer.

Hope the above information is helpful.

I know you think you understand what you thought I said but what you thought you heard is not what I meant !

As well as the above advice.

Des Braban's sounds are normally quite BIG

There's this one which is supposedly a twin radial but sounds quite nice with a DC-4/6 etc.

Or a 4 engine version which is this one.

May be worth checking out.

The "Radial Engine 'Prop Sound'" over at CalClassic.com is also quite nice. (Variety is always a good thing! )
