DH86 on the way......
Looks a bit humpy backed to me but there's only one pic so far...

I think that the "A" differentiates between the version that had the nose similar to the Dragon and Dragon Rapide and this version. Basic shape looks pretty good to me, I just hope they sort the detail lines out (make them much more subtle) and tone down the alpha-shine too! Should be good fun.... just need a DH84, DH83 and DH90 and we'd be doing very well for de Havilland biplanes
Dont suppose anyone has a piccy of the DH92 Dolphin by any chance?

The Dolphin is about the only aircraft of DH that is known as 'Camera Shy' mainly as it had a very short life indeed. Closely resembling the Dragonfly, it was structurally overweight was flown only about twice and did not even progress to getting painted....remained in undercoat with Class B markings before it was eventually scrapped.
As regards the DH86, I seem to remember seeing this aircraft a year or two ago on this forum....can it be by the same chap and it is now going to hopefully surface?
Regards.

Has now been released as a 'beta' version.
Available from The Old Hanger
Panel and VC is a bit basic, but if aliased to the Rapide is much better.
Detail is a bit heavy, but am sure repainters will be able to add that subtle touch.
For a first model attempt its good, way beyond anything I could do.
Regards
John

DeHavilland DH-86 "Express" by Lee Holmes
This is a preliminary 'beta' version of this model. This aircraft is built with Abacus' FSDS 2.24, for FS2004 and may or may not work in FS2002 or FSX.

Like all humans, my brain is composed of two halves, however ...
The left side has nothing right with it, and the right side has nothing left in it.
Yep, same guy - Lee Holmes of this forum. He is sitting on a pile of great stuff from that period. Most of his models need a little work in the cockpit department but he's almost there. Its a shame that they haven't come out into the open. His Airspeed Ferry is a little gem.Bridon Bear wrote: As regards the DH86, I seem to remember seeing this aircraft a year or two ago on this forum....can it be by the same chap and it is now going to hopefully surface?
