But a lot of us tried the demo and it was crap. Demos are released to encourage you to buy a game not to put you off but MS did exactly that.

First demo was crap.
Second demo was good, but not enough to make me convert.

Hi Guys

It's not that.

I have been flying FSX since day1 and am loving every minute of it.

It looks better everywhere & yes it has a ton of bugs but don't everything M$ sell have those

yes it needs power but ran fine on my P4 3.0 and runs superb on my new midrange core2duo.( ie E6600) currently running a borrowed ATI X1950 pro while i wait for my Backordered 512 X1950XTX.

I get approx 25 steady frames with all sliders maxxed in FSX (default scenery apart from ai which are all on 15 to 40% (25 in fsx is about the same visually as 50 fps in FS9)
In Generation X with all the autogen files from the fs9 uk scenery i get 40 to 70 fps in FSX

It does not need a "Cray" system at all.

It just needs carefully selected bits that are happy to run with eachother.

so much so that i have rebuilt my old machine back into the shuttle case and will be running it as an extra screen for more immersion.

Tony?

Get in your Car and zoom down to Ipswich with your PC and i will fix it.
(send me a Sisoft sandra system spec so i can see whats in it in detail to see what is making it so slow.

Me-$h** or whatever you call it.

Regards
Rick

No matey.. it need's £40-odd (or whatever it is) for the prog plus £90-odd (or whatever it is) for the Horizon UK software.. a borrowed ATIX1950 (whatever that is).. a nice new dual core Intel CPU (I know what that is!).. and your knowhow. I remember you were getting 70+fps on your old P42000 when the rest of us mortals were seeing 25-30 (on faster equipment) and I've still got sha**ed head bearings
