Recommendations please. CFS2 or 3?

Post by hobby »

Occasionally I get the urge to fire a few 20mm cannon as well as drop afew bombs and do some damage. My favourite aircraft for this purpose would be all mks of Mosquito and the Canberra but I would not be averse to flying C47s or AOP aircraft.

Which CFS product do members who are experienced with these products recommend?

Perhaps those with some experience might also like to recommend a good specialised website for I understand that each product has, like FS9, been improved by freeware designers of both aircraft and scenery. I am a complete CFS novice with a little Falcon4 experience but absolutely no online flying experience at present.

I look foward to reading any replies.

My personal preference is for CFS3, as I always found the 100-plane limit in CFS2 to be a touch annoying.

CFS3 came in for a lot of stick when it was first released (sound familiar?), most of which was justified; but the aftermarket work done by the guys at the Outhouse and other places has transformed it into something quite impressive - the release of MAW should be spectacular.

Places to check out:

http://www.groundcrewdesign.com (and when you've done there, follow the 'Italian Wings' link).

Hope this helps,

AndyG

Thank you all very much for your views. I shall try to obtain CFS3 today. I must say that Mediterranean Air War by the Desert Rats seems to have some extraordinary effects.

I got the most fun out of CFS1 also made a lot of Combat shots in CFS2, but never bothered with CFS3.
