Lovely shot and yes he is!! You'll be happy to know that the new one flies like a dream (unlike the rather ropey performance of v2) and.. it's the right shape
I know you lot in fsimland love VC's (well.. some of you do) and this is a stumbling block. Rick was badgered into doing the upgrade to some degree and while we're all happy to not have a VC, it's kinda expected. What this means is no projected completion date I'm afraid. It will be finished and without a VC this would be much sooner rather than later

Hi Kit,
That option hasn't been modelled at this time but it could be. The original 3-views Rick used were marked as Srs200 and it was later found that they're actually for a 100  Needless to say, the v2 model is the right length but too wide. V3 features accurate dimensions and correct shape, an all-new set of FD's and a brand new panel by Fraser. Fingers crossed we get the same set of paints as done with the original but this has not been decided yet.
It's a beaut and no mistakin' but as I said above, folk expect something above the norm from all of our developers with each new release and while I'm sure Rick would be more than happy to release the HP7 with no VC.. his inbox would fill with complaints as a consequence  If Rick misses this thread, I'll ask him about the external tank version

As to VC
The recent Fokker F-28 was released without a VC and I don't see loads of complaints....I don't think I've seen any on the forums I visit.
Compare that to a VC released by our gurus and the forum gets complaints about the type of night lighting.
So whatever......can't win
