here are some pictures taken in canada.

look at the altitude reading then the norhtern lights. :k:

I know it's faint buts it's a bit low isn't it?

No, Tonks.. not a new monitor, a new sim :wink: It does seem very much like the NL's will appear at whatever alt you happen to be at in FS9 as I've seen the effect not much higher than that while crossing the pond in a Dove and a lot higher than that in a VC10! Wonder if FSX is the same?? :think:
