Re: Bristol 170 Superfreighter
Not the right place perhaps, but that crash at Manchester; nothing to do with the Bristol of course. I tried to use the same runway with a Viscount yeterday and the building crash occurred every time. There must be a scenery fault.

Re: Bristol 170 Superfreighter
Thanks Gary, I don't know why it crashed. It was on the first circuit barely off the runway at Manchester and I believe the message was 'building crash' . No buildings in the vicinity BUT maybe I veered off slightly and hit the radar tower by the edge of the runway. Keep up the good work. I'll look ...

Re: Bristol 170 Superfreighter
Developer's perogative. After flying David Maltby's BAC111 in VC I have become a complete addict, but nevertheless I installed your SUPERfreighter and took her for a spin (my wife thinks I am working so it was a short circuit) and what a beauty! I did crash the flight simulator opening the doors in ...

Re: Bristol 170 Superfreighter
Sorry. Being a newby I replied to an earlier thread without noting that there were 21 pages already posted, including a reply to my post. I will be more careful in future. The virtual cockpit is not exactly a video. It plays on Quicktime. The link still works for me and gives a good 360 view (zoomab...

Re: Install DM's Aircraft in FSX
I had great difficulty getting textures to display until I created a separate Aircraft file and changed the FSX.cfg accordingly. However I still don't get all of the textures in the VC to display (BAC 111). Any advice?

Re: Bristol 170 Superfreighter
The Freighter is looking great Gary. Have you seen the virtual cockpit of the Canadian Bristol Freighter in Winnipeg? http://www.wcam.mb.ca/VRgateway.html?qtvr=freighter/index.html http://www.leespage.ca/h/tra/ca/m/w.html I remember seeing them lumbering into Montreal as a kid. TCA bought three for ...

Re: NEW models please
Nope......it's not possible as the Viscount is not an FS.X native model. I must admit. It sounded a bit too easy. I had started to model a completely new Viscount a couple of years ago to obtain one with a virtual cockpit but ran into modelling problems with all of those oval windows and FSDS's err...

Re: NEW models please
Am I correct in assuming that FSX can look to a different model file for the VC?
If so can we create a Vickers Viscount VC and use it with Rick Piper's unmatched quality Viscount?
My dream would be to have a Viscount (700) virtual cockpit equal in quality to David Maltby's incredible BAC 111.
