Just got back from Bruntingthorpe, what a day!!! :o Did any one else go?
I was stood over by the Comet and got a good view of the main event.
No pictures I'm afraid.

Re: Concorde Special
Rich,
Thanks for taking the time to up-load the air-to-air refueling clip, I really appreciate it. It’s great to be able to watch that footage again and, if anything, it’s even better than I remember it.
Thanks,
Alex

Re: Concorde Special
Thanks Keith and Rich for pinning down the music for me, I’ve now downloaded a copy from i-tunes. Rich, I too still have a VHS tape with this on, however, I no long have a VCR. I seem to remember the original documentary being interspersed with a number of other aviation articles. In particular I re...

Concorde Special
I remember watching this excellent programme when it originally aired, why don’t the BBC seem to produce anything like this any more? Re: TSR2... model
Well I've got mine. Picked one up from Newark Air Museum. The staff there said they were selling like the proverbial hot cakes. They were already down to the last four and didn't expect the remainder to be there by the end of the day. :o
Best get building!!

Another reason to visit East Kirkby . . .
. . . as if I needed another reason to go and visit my favourite aviation museum.  :dancer: D-Day veteran, C-47 N5831B ‘Drag-‘em-oot’ will be wintering at East Kirkby this year. I hadn’t released it would be possible for an aircraft of this size to make use of East Kirkby’s grass airstri...

Re: You won't believe this!...
I was wondering about the hovering thing too, but it would be very hard to land like that even if you had full control. I think the Convair Pogo managed at best a couple of vertical landings because it was so difficult. I guess you'd have to let the tail contact the ground as gently as possible the...
