Re: Name that plane...

The long peninsular that sticks off the bottom of the main province of Ontario is generally known as Southwestern Ontario. The other main regions are Northern Ontario, Eastern Ontario, Central Ontario and Southern Ontario (no Western Ontario for some reason). The Detroit/Windsor border crossing is t...

Re: Name that plane...

BTW, in the upper right hand corner is that a Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star? To be honest I have no idea what it is but it does look interesting. :dunno: Windsor Airport has a long history with warbirds and several currently reside there including a few Harvards and Chippies as well as the Lanc now. ...

Re: Name that plane...

Thanks for the info Larry No problem, glad you enjoyed it. Those GF replicas look good for what they are and looking at them from even a small distance many wouldn't know tthe difference. Real aircraft are too valuable to have in such places so a very good compromise. :) I agree, they won't last 43...

Well done guys! :welldone: It is indeed parts of FM212 as she undergoes much needed restoration after spending 43 years sitting atop a concrete pedestal in a city park and exposed to blistering heat and humidity during the summer (...

Name that plane...

....or at least the parts! :) I updated my Google Earth program the other day as it was way out of date and I needed a screen grab to use as a background for the total re-work I have been doing to my nearest 'city' airport in FSX (it was pathetic in FSX but looks MUCH better now! :welldone: ) While ...

Re: Has the tide turned? FSX or FS9?

I have both and rarely used FS9 after I put on FSX. That is until recently when I started to fly FS9 online with the guys here although most of those guys have now moved over to FSX. I almost deleted FS9 from my drive a few months ago but since Shockwave brought out their 3D lights for FS9 I still n...

Re: Anyone had any snow today??

Glad to see Blighty is getting some of what we have had to suffer lately! Just to rub it in, here in the 'Land's End' of Canada the temps are currently 55°F (13°C) and are expected to reach a high of 61°F (16°C). It is forecast to get warmer through the week so it looks like it's time to break out t...
