Re: 2007 Alphabet - revised

My God!....That is so ME! :o :'(

Since I was struck down with the disabling medical condition ME/CFS I can relate to every single line of that poem. :-(

Now I live one day at a time and get through each one in whatever way I can. :@

Re: Another request from JAB for Echo November

Here are some shots from today in FSX (I will save the FS2004 version once I have the painting done). http://media5.dropshots.com/photos/93830/20071112/b_130112.jpg http://media5.dropshots.com/photos/93830/20071112/b_130118.jpg http://media3.dropshots.com/photos/93830/20071112/b_130122.jpg I still n...

Re: Another request from JAB for Echo November

I just finished up the insignia and panel lines and it's looking good. Not tried it in FSX/9 yet as I have been using FSRepaint to view it while working on it. Tomorrow I will test it in both sims and grab some pictures.

Re: Another request from JAB for Echo November

This is what I have at the end of day 1. http://media3.dropshots.com/photos/93830/20071110/b_192930.jpg Unfortunately the texture map is picking up a tiny speck of red on the forward tip of the left side of the fin. I finally tracked it down to an area on the upper right wingtip of all places ...

Re: Another request from JAB for Echo November

I wouldn't mind having a go at this. I only recently started repainting (three done so far) but a lot of folks over at Sim-Outhouse seem to like my PC-7 repaints (HB-HAO, Swiss Miss and Viper). I just DL'ed the basic files (and his paint kit too) and will try to get them installed tomorrow (Saturday...

Re: P38 found on Welsh beach!

If it is in the Harlech area that would put it just north of the old RAE Llanbedr. I wonder if it crashed after take-off from there? When I lived in the UK I spent many holidays camping on Shell Island adjacent to Llanbedr and the binos were permanently around my neck during the day as the field was...

Re: For the mods: Is the Pilatus PC-7 considered a "classic"?

If anyone is interested I just completed another repaint for the PC-7. All my tests regarding the paint pulling problem were carried out in order to get the underside done on this repaint. It's not 100% correct but as close as I can get it given the constraints I had to work with. I started a thread...

Re: For the mods: Is the Pilatus PC-7 considered a "classic"?

John, I tried your tip of bypassing the DXTBmp stage and saving as a copy direct to the folder FSRepaint uses and the savings in time were phenomenal! I got a huge amount done this evening simply because I didn't have to wait for DXTBMP to load and save each time I wanted to view changes. I really a...

Re: Never try to cool a powersupply like this, ... Ever

From the report it seems like he got off light as the 'juice' entered his right hand and exited via his right foot. Might have been a different story if he'd had both hands on the power supply at the time! Mind you it was ONLY 110V, not the 240V I got belted by lots of times in the UK. ;-) I got hit...

Re: For the mods: Is the Pilatus PC-7 considered a "classic"?

Thanks for that info John, I will make a note of it. Here's a little trick I discovered re. FSRepaint, you don't have to point it at your FSX/FS9 folder in order for it to work! :o I like to keep one partition on my HD just for games and I use a different partition (on a different drive as it happen...
