Bouncy Bouncy Runway

Post by Kevin Farnell »

Having just done a fresh install of FS9, I'm slowly going through putting back all of the add on files.
After installing AFCAD updates to airports, aircraft act like a kangaroo on a pogo stick whilst on the runway (taxiways are O.K.).
I believe it's possible to 'Flatten' parts of the scenery. Can I do this with AFCAD2?
If not, how can I stop the bouncy effect?

Regards

Kevin

Kevin, Yes you can flatten using AFCAD, make a seperate taxiway along side your runway exactly the same dimensions and heading then use the move/drag n drop to move the taxiway under the runway, fault finder will tell you there is a unconnected taxiway etc which yo can ignore.

Got that off the net Opa Marshall's tips and tricks for AFCAD

There's another way, get yourself a copy of a little
utility called FSTflatten, does exactly what it says, creates flatten .bgl files

You should be able to find it at the usual freeware repositories.
