Hi all , I missed this post , was there going to be type Mk31 modeled , I have approxmately 200/250 photos External and Internal , Cargobay, walls, doors, roof, cockpit ,pilots note s and the RNZAF paint plans . I had another workin on the model but lost contact , HD pack'd a sad lost address's.
I have a fabolous 1957 B&W movie (VHS) with one of the best English Actors ever, Jack Hawkins . One hour and half of Bristol Mk31 in every kind of shade.
Do you know it ? If not, look at this :
Great movie, english flavour, great performers. Jack Hawkins has been one of the best English actors ever. Aviation fans must ab-so-lu-te-ly see this movie, altough not available in the VHS circuit. As far as I know, this is the only feature film where it is possible to admire the ubiquitous Bristol 170 Freighter. She was a cargo plane built in the late forties by the english aviation firm Bristol. A must for all you aviation minded people. The cast is at his best, the drama and suspense still thrill a lot. Highly reccomended !
Probably, English people will laugh a lot for my courious English but that's it!

Unfortunately , this movie is not available (together with the Avro Ashton film Cone of Silence) on VHS or DVD. The only chance to see it is the British television . As a matter of fact my copy is in Italian.
I dont think this film appears on British television.
Often in the afternoons there are old films of that period shown but I have no seen that ever. l Cone of Silence I have seen but not for about thirty years or so either
I don't think they are in the batch of films shown.
