I know it is freeware (and more than I have produced too), but to me, the Bournemouth still looks less real than the UK2000 stuff I had in FS2002 about 6 years ago!
Although aircraft do look stunning in FSX, what advantages are there in the scenery front, other than texture resolutions? The only good scenery I have seen can only be run at low settings, mainly because it is of big airports that look wrong without heavy AI traffic. If this chap was running FS9 he would have a scenery full of interesting stuff for the south coast, see John's post for Thorney Island.

Well I'm running the Fly Tampa Kai Tak with high settings and more traffic than you can shake a stick at and it's great. I'm not sure what the technical details of the improvements in FSX are as I've never delved into scenery design, although there's probably more in the line of animations etc. and the new exporter should allow higher frame rates as it does for aircraft models.

Now I'm off to download that Bournemouth add on so I can practise avoiding their airspace!

Hi Skippy. As you know, I'm running it in FS9 which comes in a much smaller download package than the FSX one. If you get the time to post some random screenshots of the airport, I'd love to see what extras you get in FSX, please. I want to know what I'm missing :worried:

Cheers

'And that's all the excuse I need.' To quote a Tank Girl strip no one else is likely to have seen, back directly!
