I'd say it's real - but the animal has got the shock of it's life and basically fainted as the wing has passed close overhead - but if contact was made it can't have been any more than a very, very slight contact with the underside of the wing - otherwise I think the landing would have been slightly different!

If you look closely, you can see the aileron move as the cow hits it.

I think it is a fairly obvious fake. What is most revealing is that the passenger never bats an eyelid, and the only reaction of the pilot which might (just) be construed as a reaction is a look over the left shoulder a second ot two after impact . I can assure you that when you hear a loud bang in a light aircraft it doesn't half grab your attention!

I never thought CBFSim would be one of those forums where everyone jumps in to call videos out for being fake. I wonder who'll be the first to jump into a thread and post "FIRST!" because that's the next step, you know.

Point 1.

I agree with Dave it seems the more pain and suffering, animal or human, then it gives more pleasure to some.

I was wondering if the slipstream at that speed would be able to knock the cow over. I know buffeting by Road Vehicles causes a lot of bird casualties.

My apologies Gary. Yes it was your point. I think it is an indictment of the society we live in.

I've just had a look at the clip and the airfield is Dunkeswell in East Devon. There is a Tiger Moth based there that gives flights to members of the public.

Talking about it yesterday at Eggesford, the Tiger Moth had an engine failure upon take off. Just had a look in the flyer forum and someone has kindy posted the details:

General Aviation Occurences list that just arrived with new GASIL has:
DH Tigermoth: Dunkeswell:14/09/2008. Engine failed at 80ft during initial climbout and a/c landed in field. Damage to left wing. No injuries to 2 POB.

Quickly butchered, a good marinade, and on the barbecue if I'd have had anything to do with it.
