Re: Real Environment X......
Someone told me they were doing a FS9 version as well, those shots do look good Tony. Interesting to see you get better FRas well, I would have thought it was a crippler.. I use Ground Enviroment and Active sky and with max settings i.e. clouds and real weather it can drop FR on FS9 a lot. Wonder if this would be better, I guess it would replace GE and AS6.5??

Re: Real Environment X......
I'm not totally convinced yet. To be honest I think the water and clouds are better in FEX, but obviously it doesn't have the weather engine. Even the screenshots for ASX and their GraphicX product look very good too. I would love to see a comparison of the different products.

Cheers Mate.
To my mind that looks much better. I might have to have a dabble![smile :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)

Re: Real Environment X......
Hmmm....just noted that the price of REX has snuck up to 60 dollars..????
I paid 40 dollars on release...is it normal for companies to hike the prices like that...?
It didn't say it was on special or anything...

Re: Real Environment X......
I don't think the price has changed, you probably have the currency set to Australian dollars instead of US ones. It's $40 US, $60 Aus or £27. If it had been released a few months ago it would have been £20 and I'd have bought it without a second thought, that's exchange rates for you. ![smile :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)

Hi...
Got this package too but I already uninstalled it!
Not because I don't like it but it makes my FSX crash to a black screen time after time!
I am flying for about one minute in a perfect scenery and fantastic clouds and then my FSX "minimizes and I get stuck with a black screen.
FSX is still running but I cannot maximize it again, I only see the black screen.
Only way to restart FSX after such a crash is a hard reset of my system.
If you look at the REX support forum, then you can see that a lot of people have a lot of trouble with this package.
It's not that I don't like it, it's great but I won't re-install before they have fixed the load of bugs that seems to be in the software.
Grtz.

Hi Tony...
These are my System Specs:
Windows XP SP3
Kaspersky AV (version 8.0.0.357a.b.d.c.e.) and Windows Firewall.
Asus Maximus Extreme Motherboard - socket 775 LGA
750 watts power supply ThermalTake
Intel core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40 Ghz
Kingston DDR 3 1066 (PC3-8500F) RAM, 2 Gb
nVidia GeForce 8800GT (PCI Express) with 1 Gb DDR 3 memory
nVidia driver version: 6.14.11.8048, dated 12-11-2008
Creative X-fi Platinum Fatal1ty soundboard
Creative driver version: 6.0.1.1361, dated 15-07-2008
2X Seagate ST3500320NS 500Gb SATA HDD
2X Plextor PX-810SA DVD-R
Thrustmaster Cougar HOTAS system with TM rudder system
In my honest opnion a system that must be capable of running REX without problems...
I run FSX with all service packs and Acceleration Pack in a 1600x1200 32 bits resolution with framerates above 30.
After uninstalling REX it runs like hell again without any black screens.
Grtz.
