What is wrong with this headline ?

I despair of the BBC and its declining standards. This is what you get when for every graduate in English, you get nine graduating in 'media studies'.

Media studies is a very enjoyable subject, and I seriously doubt it can be blamed for the declining standards in journalism.

I watched the report , and was unable to detect a single error in either grammar of syntax. Is it the word "hit" in the headline you are objecting to ( or would you prefer that I say "to which you are objecting"?)
Re: What is wrong with this headline ?
Any particular reason for the Met Office hitting us with warnings? Can't they be civilised about it, "I say chaps, something soggy this way comes, don't you know - maybe."
SWMBO frequently aims pots and pans at me when I want to spend some quality time simming, but her aim isn't all that great.

I think he means instead of being hit by warnings the headline should have stated we were hit by the actual storms etc.cstorey wrote:I watched the report , and was unable to detect a single error in either grammar of syntax.
