What is wrong with this headline ?

I despair of the BBC and its declining standards. This is what you get when for every graduate in English, you get nine graduating in 'media studies'.

Media studies is a very enjoyable subject, and I seriously doubt it can be blamed for the declining standards in journalism.

I watched the report , and was unable to detect a single error in either grammar of syntax. Is it the word "hit" in the headline you are objecting to ( or would you prefer that I say "to which you are objecting"?)

Any particular reason for the Met Office hitting us with warnings? Can't they be civilised about it, "I say chaps, something soggy this way comes, don't you know - maybe."

SWMBO frequently aims pots and pans at me when I want to spend some quality time simming, but her aim isn't all that great.

I think he means instead of being hit by warnings the headline should have stated we were hit by the actual storms etc.
