No Dave,

I never actually did that...I sort of worried about those U/C bays being uncovered and not supplying any lift :worried:

Many thanks for the great positive feedback folks.

I'm trawling back through the photos of the day again. I had originally only weeded about 20 or so definite worth while ones out of the 700 or so I took. I think I'll have more of interest once I revisit it. I general don't edit images if I can help it, preferring to let the quality of the untouched photo speak for itself, but I might tweak a few to make them usable, possibly crop a couple here and there and lighten a few up to see if some of the flying shots are worth while posting. Back soon...

These are very enjoyable pics, Gordon. I think what makes them so different is that they're not tightly cropped onto the aircraft. Whilst that type of photo is indeed spectacular, it's lovely to see the aircraft in context with scenery in the background and all the other stuff going on around. Makes you feel as though you're there. Thanks for posting them.

One unusual thing that stands out is in the pics of the Seahawk startup. What on earth is that couple doing wandering about on the apron in their leisure clothes? Everybody else is in Hi-viz with ear protectors and they look as though they've just wandered in while looking for the tearoom

As the afternoon drifted past 16:00hs, one or two folks from the VIP Hospitality tent next to the dispersal started wandering around to get photos of themselves with the odd aircraft and speak to the aircrew, though most looked like ex aircrew themselves (plus partners) *-)
