this has been on the cards for some time, i do believe its too costly to fly the tornados back so they getting the chop over there...

For almost two decades fighter jets from RAF Leuchars have been providing air cover for the Falkland Islands - on standby and ready to scramble in minutes. But now new Typhoon jets from an English-based squadron are taking over and the pilots, crews and planes from Fife are heading home. Cameron Buttle went to see the final missions of the Leuchars Tornados.
You can almost hear the seething rage behind that passive-aggressive statement.
