Just received an email from a mate warning of a very nasty virus that appears to be on the loose. Two titles to look out for are 'Postcard from Hallmark' and/or 'Postcard'. Opening either will have your HD wiped in short order
I've not checked this for authenticity but be on your guard
However, my practice is to have a look on my E-mail server, see what is there, and if there is anything I don't like the look of it is deleted off the server without ever downloading it.

Agree entirely with that. I use mailwasher to look on my email server and anything I don't like gets binned online without getting close to my pc. There's a good case for using webmail where users don't have any means of checking emails before they're on your system
exactamundo.... never click on an email unless you know it origin
and in fact I never open fw: mail from someone I know... I had to block my own sister unfortunatly.
she just didn;t believe me when I said no means no... In my opinion, if the sender can't take take the time to
copy and paste the info they thought funny en........ forget it , to early for the soapbox. I havn't even finnished my coffee mates
