Virus Alert

Post by DaveB »

Hi Guy's..

Just received an email from a mate warning of a very nasty virus that appears to be on the loose. Two titles to look out for are 'Postcard from Hallmark' and/or 'Postcard'. Opening either will have your HD wiped in short order :-O

I've not checked this for authenticity but be on your guard ;)

This may shed a little light on the matter.

However, my practice is to have a look on my E-mail server, see what is there, and if there is anything I don't like the look of it is deleted off the server without ever downloading it.

Hi Graham..

Agree entirely with that. I use mailwasher to look on my email server and anything I don't like gets binned online without getting close to my pc. There's a good case for using webmail where users don't have any means of checking emails before they're on your system ;)

Thanks for the warning Dave, always nice to know in advance rather than find out the hard way. :-O

Always allow Kapersky to preview my e-mails and then can delete as spam the ones' I don't want.

Regards
Nigel.

copy and paste the info they thought funny en........ forget it , to early for the soapbox. I havn't even finnished my coffee mates
