Didn't know the Swiss still operate the F-5 either. Very interesting, Toby, thanks.

Yes, nice to see some of the more unusual aircraft displaying, and to be reminded that you don't fall off the edge of the world just past Duxford. I don't think I've seen that Ju-52 before...or have I, but just in a different paint scheme ?

Swiss Airforce have the F-5 as their primary interceptor and also for their fast jet display team (Patrouille Suisse). F/A-18C in the strike role and beyond that Pilatus PC-7, 9 and 21 trainers and a variety of other GA, utility types as well as various helicopters.

Re: Sorry chaps, another Swiss Airshow
It was infact Switzerland's first airport (opened in October 1910) and served as kind of Switzerlands most important civilian airport until 1948 when Zurich-Kloten airport was built. Visitors shouldn't miss the Dübendorf aviation museum - where (apart from many other highlights) you can take a seat in a Vampire cockpit...TobyV wrote: I believe it was once a civilian airfield before becoming military and is now mixed-use.
