I don't suppose they will fit in...not having winglets..
They got as far as artist impressions of the livery but I suppose if it's a whole fleet they could have a simple unique cheap 717 livery
The subject of the 717's came up at Key and it was stated that up until now Southwest had only every operated 737's forgetting the two separate periods they flew 727's leased form Braniff.

We have a couple of Southwest liveried 727 models in a display case at Southwest HQ. The Southwest livery on anything other than a 737 looks pretty strange. Personally, I really like the 717. Back when Midwest Airlines was in business I flew on one of their 717's. It was a great experience. Large comfy seats with adjustable head and foot rests; chocolate chip cookies baked fresh onboard - no extra fee; and they even played classical music on the aircraft while the paxs were being boarded.
