That would really be a thought -
I'll think it over when the aircraft starts smoking...
It's just one of the reasons we don't fly the A320...
YES - sounds mouthwatering!
I'm looking forward to tomorrow evening!!
All the best,
Nick

Re: DM VC10 SMOKE IN FSX
Hmmmmm.... no screenie, I'm afraid...
I've checked and I have both files in my effects folder.
I replaced them with the ones you uploaded, Dave - (they seem to be the same, but anyway) - still the aircraft remains a nonsmoker.
I then checked the settings but couldn't find anything - except in the menubar when you hit ALT: there's a point "smoke system", but it shows activated by a tickmark. After all the aircraft still exhales crystal clear alpine air...
Any further inputs and ideas are appreciated...
Many thanks anyway & cheers,
Nick

Nick
It's completely automatic and coded into the model and has nothing to do with the FS smoke system so there are no settings.
Have you tried re uploding the model?

Re: DM VC10 SMOKE IN FSX
Hmm.. as Garry said, the effect is hard coded into the model. The only reason you shouldn't see smoke is if the fx files aren't there
I'll have a think but nothing obvious is coming to mind
Are you sure there's nothing at all coming out of the back? It doesn't kick out great gouts of smoke but it is there.. well, here

Re: DM VC10 SMOKE IN FSX
No no, I'm actually in FS9.
And I'm talking about the 1-11...
I'll post the aircraft.cfg content into here - however it may take a while till I get back to my gaming laptop...
Many thanks for all the help meanwhile,
Nick

Cheers Nick
I knew you were talking about the 1-11 and presumed you were on FS9. Now that's confirmed, we'll have to see if we can't find a solution
