Good video. The sound reminds me of my last flights on G-BVRN on 1996 to Jersey and back from SOU.
Had the BAe-NRA gone ahead, the marketing people who had being convincing everyone what they needed was a 4-engined RJ, would have had to explain what everyone now needed was a twin-engined RJ!
Similarly MGF car has hydrogas suspension but its replacement the MG TF has conventional springs and dampers.

Yeh, it has a low-pitched whine, which seems to over-power the main engine sound on take-off.Garry Russell wrote:It always had a slightly different sound to other Dart powered aircraft. I found this captured the sound ver well and nice pic quality too
I've always prefered the look of the Herald, although I appreciate that the F-27 is probably generally a better looker, but I've never liked the nose shape.
I probably prefer the Herald because they were much less common.

Re: Fokker F-27
The F27 was probably more attractive with a slimmer look but the Herald looked like it was built to last
Sadly never flown in a Herald, been a few times on a BMA F27
