Stranded Aircraft
I noticed yesterday that T2 GAVFD is stuck at EBFS with no available routes to fly from there.
Any chance you can create a one off route back to LHR and I will bring her home later today or tomorrow?
After that I will investigate whether I can possibly get Super VC10 SGA out of LCY with no pax and nothing on the fuel gauges except the makers name and maybe ask for a one off for that.
A bit further down the line, I see we have 2*VC10 (SIW and SIX) at Gatwick, never been flown because there are no VC10 routes from Gatwick
Cheers
Ady

Re: Stranded Aircraft
Hi Ady
I'll flash up my WinXP rig and work out some times for FoxDelta back to LHR. I'm presuming it was a 'Divert' and the pilot concerned never bothered with the onward leg. He's no longer active so it will be ok to fly.
I'd no idea we had a VC10 at LCY Will look at the possible circumstances behind that little conundrum!
EDIT: Panos flew this airframe last.. 2013 by the looks of things. He's still active so in reality, it's his responsibility to get the darned thing out of there!!
The un-flown 10's at Gatwick are very probably delivery airframes. When we order aircraft, we've no control over where they're delivered to (believe it or not) and some turn up in the strangest places. Generally.. as a European based airline, they'll be delivered to somewhere in Europe but where is out of our hands.
EDIT: Looking at these two airframes.. they were BUA and would have been Gatwick based (they ARE Gatwick based) as the big boys wouldn't let Freddie fly out of LHR. It's possible we don't have any flights out of Gatwick for them.. I didn't check that far.
I'll get back.
EIDT#3 OK, I've made a flight for you from EBFS to EGLL. An hour and a half should be long enough.. standard fare.

Re: Stranded Aircraft
VFD is back at LHR.
I did a quick trial, I can get the VC15 out of LCY if you can set up a one off for that please.
Thought you might need a slightly more experienced pilot to do that one

Re: Stranded Aircraft
I'm at Stansted in a VC9, (XNT) trying to get her back to Manston.
We have a route from Stansted to Manston (CBFC959) but FSAirlines won't let me book that.
Any ideas how to book that flight or how to get the aircraft back to base?

Hi Ady
Not sure how you managed to fly EGSS - EGSS. FSA must have thrown a wobbly. I've changed CBFC959 to read XNT so you should be able to book it now. Let me know when you've flown it and I'll change it back to ZRE. This flight was aircraft specific for a reason but I can't remember the reason now

Re: Stranded Aircraft
I booked EGSS to LHR with the intention of diverting to Manston then cancelling the onward flight, but that just put me back at Stansted.
Back at Manston now thanks, off to Casablanca after Christmas.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Re: Stranded Aircraft
Just looked at the fleet status, XNT is back at Stansted!
I flew it to Manston back in December, and then to Morocco and back to Manston again.
How in heck has FSA put it back at Stansted with my name against it for leaving it there???
