Be carefull

I went to this site and clicked on the C5 galaxy accident.
A window opened saying

'Office 2000 preparing to install'

I used task manager to close the window (the 'close window' button within the window could possibly be an 'OK' button in reality).
The hard disk continued to make a lot of noise after the window was closed, so I attempted to restart the computer.
I got a message saying that powerpoint (which was not open) had encountered an error.

Anyone have any idea what this could be?

My anti-virus is up to date as are microsoft updates.

Regards

Kevin

Kevin, it means you don't have Microsoft PowerPoint installed. If you note on the link properties, it links you to a ".ppt" file, which is a PowerPoint Presentation file.

Hi Kevin

I have powerpoint installed and it came up OK without any errors.

It's a slide show of crash pictures.

Very odd

I did have PowerPoint installed. On re-starting the PC and clicking on my PowerPoint shortcut, I was however asked to insert the disc. This I did and all now seems well.

Cheers
