This twin-jet engine made a loud bang and stopped suddenly, .....just as one would expect when a first stage compressor blade goes AWOL, also took out the IGV's and the stator rows in the casing too. The aircraft concerned landed safely with the remaining engine operating as advertised.

Well it is..........lol - I'm currently working on an Engine thats under investigation by the Adour EA & Rolls Royce, after it threw out an LP Turbine blade & made a mess on the exhaust mixer at Leuchars whilst on detachment last week.Jetset wrote:Bad month for engines!
