Hi Joe,
Had to look that one up, we usually just ask for biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate; rolls off the tongue nicely.

Re: How not to do it....

There are a few terms, including Asia Pacific, ASEAN, etc, along with Ben's offering. We're often reminded that we are closer to Asia than to Europe or the US. The news service would be Asia-based because our Australian+New Zealand population together would hardly register on the scale. Anyway, brav...

Re: A spare fan

My unit is in a "Cooler Master" case. It only has the standard 4 fans: CPU, 2 on graphics card (with copper pipe plumbing), and one extractor fan. Not over-clocked, but when I took it in for a check while still under warranty, they said the motherboard had overheated and bent, they were su...

Re: Brrrrr!

I've been thinking, actually, that Alex probably has the air conditioning on as a matter of course. The wood heater was just to top it up? Often strikes me how in general, humans are really only comfortable in a narrow band of temperatures. TBH, the 40c forecast for next week isn't my cup of tea eit...

Re: Brrrrr!

Been thinking of you folks in the US.
They reported -37 in Milwaukee.
BTW, Roger, if the power goes off, you can just put that bread outside!
Is it this weather that puts the icing on the cake?
Good luck all. If it's any consolation, it's been cool in the Southern end of Oz.

And Ben,
That first shot is a ripper, my favourite of the three.
