Nikon makes a real nice 80-400 lens with built in vibration reduction, but it probably costs more than the camera and lens you just bought (its on my wish list). Or drink less coffee. Joe, I looked into the 80 - 400mm lens, as it looked superb by specification. Several reviews, however stated it to...

Re: Bought a new Camera the other day!

A Nikon D50 SLR Digital. And of course, for our hobby, I had to get a zoom lens aswell: a 70-300, but as it's digital, it's comparible to an 'old-type' Camera lens of 450 zoom...Nice! On a bright day, the shutter speed is so fast, that it freezes Rotor-blades and Propellers - not usually very desir...

Also, love the bowing Harrier and the Kiwi 757.

Cheers

Thanks for the kind words and sorry for the late reply - not been around for a few days. Jonesey, you want to buy some - excellent!! - seriously, you're more than welcome to keep a personal copy. Not sure about your graphics card comment. I'm using a geriatric GeForce IV 128mb nVidea unit. Perhaps I...

Wonderful photos, Tom.

I like the close ups of the Chinook - I'm not that brave.
But best of all, is the last Red Arrows Hawk - the way the smoke fills the screen behind the aircraft is absolutely superb!

Scary storey, Mark!!! I had a trip on a Grumman Widgeon of Aquatic and Vintage Airways about 12 years ago. We had a nice little trip around the Bay of Islands (NZ). The pilot, seeing that I had my camera with me, invited me to sit up front. Fortunately, everything went as planned. Taking off and lan...

Kevin, it means you don't have Microsoft PowerPoint installed. If you note on the link properties, it links you to a ".ppt" file, which is a PowerPoint Presentation file. Very odd  I did have PowerPoint installed. On re-starting the PC and clicking on my PowerPoint shortcut, I was ...

Be carefull I went to this site and clicked on the C5 galaxy accident. A window opened saying 'Office 2000 preparing to install' I used task manager to close the window (the 'close window' button within the window could possibly be an 'OK' button in reality). The hard disk continued to make a lot of...
